Vertigo can be pretty painful. Can acupuncture help?

Sara, a 41-year-old woman, suffered from unexplained dizziness and headaches for a year. Her symptoms worsened when changing positions, with vertigo becoming more intense. Despite taking painkillers for a year, her headaches persisted. However, Sara’s headaches ceased after three months of Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment, leaving her feeling incredible.

A study in the Journal of Evidence-Based Complementary & Alternative Medicine found that acupuncture effectively reduced vertigo connected with Meniere’s disease. In a study published in the Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science, acupuncture effectively treated vertigo caused by cervical spondylosis. Acupuncture works for vertigo by increasing blood circulation, reducing inflammation and increasing local microcirculation.

It is mainly related to the liver, spleen, and kidney.

Vertigo is a complex condition that is often linked to the liver, spleen, and kidney. However, deficiency is the leading cause of ordinary vertigo, and it typically stems from an imbalance of yin and yang. The body’s vitality is depleted over time without enough rest or supplementation, resulting in this pathology. Vertigo is a subjective symptom that can be alleviated by closing one’s eyes for those with mild symptoms. However, severe cases may include additional symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, sweating, or fainting.

Balancing Qi and blood can be achieved through acupuncture.

By utilizing acupuncture and herbal medicine, patients can effectively balance their Qi, enhance blood circulation in the head and face, fortify nerves and blood vessels, reduce pain and dizziness, and address vertigo stemming from inner ear imbalances. Patients can expect significant improvements in their symptoms with continued acupuncture and herbal medicine treatment.

Note

Vertigo can be treated in various ways, including medication, specialized treatments, and lifestyle changes. However, not all anti-vertigo drugs are effective. Some conditions, such as otolith loss, require different treatments, such as the canalith repositioning procedure. Other treatments, such as eye movement control, balance training, and repetitive head movements, can also alleviate discomfort and aid in a return to normal daily activities.

It is important to note that vertigo can be a serious condition that impacts quality of life and safety. Seeking medical attention promptly is crucial to receiving adequate treatment. Patients can receive the best care to manage their condition by providing thorough information about the symptoms.
